We would like to take one day out of our stay to visit Paris but are undecided of the best way to travel with two children (under 10) in tow.

The Cityrma bus tour from Hotel new York looks good but is it too long (and potentially boring) for a 4yr old? Equally is taken the Metro and then connecting RER to the tower etc too much hastle with little ones?

Would love to hear from anyone who has been there and 'done it'!

Hi Quack and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:

We have not done this but this thread and this second thread may be of interest :)

Welcome to the DIS Quack!! :wave2:

I see you've already got your countdown sorted, and that you're going to be staying at the Disneyland Hotel!!!!!! :Pinkbounc

We were also considering a day in Paris, but had ruled out the coach trip as my kids get very bored on coaches, cost and lack of flexibility. They love trains and open-top buses though!!! (Even in London in February!!!)

Thanks for posting those links, Reid, some really helpful info there!

I would love to visit a food market in Paris, maybe the Eiffel Tower and Sacre Coeur or Notre Dame, possibly a boat trip on the Seine, maybe a park. My husband would like to go to the Science Museum at Parc La Villette, but I'm not sure if that would be too similar to a theme park in terms of lots of people, queuing for attractions etc.? Anyone got any advice?

Cheers
Michelle

Thank you for these links. The second one is particularily useful and is making me think twice about taking young children for such a looooong day on a bus! I am sending my other half over to take a read so we can decide between us.

BTW thank you for all the welcomes! I found this site via a book (my DLP bible at the moment) I have by Simon Veness.

This March will be our second visit and I think I am in the process of becoming a confirmed DLP addict :thumbsup2
