Has anyone stayed in a theme park view room at the Westin? How noisy is it?

I think a theme park view at the Westin sounds fun, but I’ve read a few posts about it being really noisy from cars on Katella. Now I’m second-guessing if it’s a good idea or not. The only hotel I have stayed in previously is the Fairfield on Harbor. Are they comparable? We go in 2 weeks if time-of-year matters.

The Westin is a new, high end hotel built from the ground up. I’ve yet to come across a review that indicated noise was an issue. Noise is generally a larger problem with older hotels, particularly motel style. Even then, the noise will bother only a small faction of sensitive people.

Keep in mind that the streets surrounding the DLR are basically deserted after park hours, so you should sleep well.

We use to regularly Priceline the then-Traveldoge, which is as close to Harbor as you can get. Older, motel style hotel - and never once did the traffic off Harbor bother us.

I guess you didn't come across my review of the Westin, then! :D I seriously felt like every surface there was made of rice paper, for how little sound insulation there was from outside, from the hallway, and from adjoining rooms. And I sleep in lots of hotels, so I've experienced the gamut.
