I am thinking I want to stay at Candy Cane Inn next trip (perhaps early fall) and this room sounds fantastic! I have never had a "grind and brew" coffeemaker in a hotel room! I am curious what the included "in room breakfast" is like, I assume that it is a selection from the buffet, but delivered to your room at a pre-scheduled time.

So, anyone have any experience ??????

The premium rooms are:

slightly larger than the standard room (maybe an extra 20 sq ft)

have movies to borrow from the front desk for your inroom vcr

gives you a check-off menu on your bed mid-day for next day's breakfast...it includes stuff like fruit, cereals, muffins, bagels, juices, coffee...hang it on your door and you get a breakfast basket the next morning w/your order....it is basically same stuff as on their buffet.

also, these are located at the end of the complex so you do not get much traffic noise (but are further from the pool)

We've done both the regular and premium...both are nice...I would say it really depends on how much luggage you have as it's easier to fit/store in the premium. I don't mind the walk for breakfast and like being near the pool so I still pick the regular rooms instead. We are headed down in a few weeks and going w/a regular room at CC.

We just returned from a 3 night stay at CCI. We stayed in the standard Deluxe room. (137) We are a family of 5. Myself, DH, DD(4), DD(2), DD(1). The baby slept in a porta crib & there were 2 queen size beds. We had no problem with size other than the crib having to be placed next to the TV. We were at the end of the complex, but it's not like it's all that big anyhow! The bus will even pick you up down there if you wave him down! We decided that we would save the $30 a night and walk down for the breakfast ourselves. We were not in the room enough to watch movies & they had Showtime, so if we were so inclined, we could catch a movie on that. I'd say, save your money. Just think, you can buy lunch at DL with that savings. Enjoy! ::MickeyMo

But I am all ready saving money by not staying on site ! How much more can be expected ;) ;) .
I am such a non-morning person, the extra time saved by having breakfast delivered sounds heavenly ! However you are right that we want to have $ to do a trip to Mexico in Jan 06 ....and sneak in a DL trip too !
thanks for the feedback!
