Has anyone stayed at the Super 8 motel

that is on Katella recently?

We are going in June with some friends and the friends DH wants to stay there, we've never been, checked the website and it looks okay, but need to know about the cleanliness of the rooms, etc. we are travelling with kids, how is pool and also is it on the "ART" bus route?

Don't know about Super 8, but here is a route map for ART. It doesn't look like the Super 8 is one of the stops.

We recently (April 5 & 6) stayed at the Super 8 on Disney Way and had no problems or complaints. Is this the Super 8 you're referring to?? This was our first stay there as we usually stay at the Candy Cane but our traveling companions were being 'thrifty'.

Altho it's about a 10 minute walk to the parking garage to catch the tram, we opted to drive over and pay $11 to park. Made much more sense than to try and walk all the way back to the motel after a long day in the parks.

Our rooms were clean and comfortable and had a referigerator in them. I'd definately stay there again if the need arises!

It is not on the ART route. My SIL stays there. She said it was clean, cheap, and a great place if you don't plan on spending much time in the room. She said it took a little over 10 minutes to walk to the park. She is a VERY fast walker.

Ha! Ha!, that is funny, that she is a fast walker, which means that it probably would take @20 minutes for the rest of us to walk. Actually, I can walk pretty fast as well, but if it is hot, then not as much, and for the return trip, if it is late at night, a bus would be better, for I am not so sure about taking my car, nor renting one, I would probably be a little too paranoid about something negative happening to my car, with or without me in it!

I stayed there when I went in Oct. 07 and it surprising wasn't bad. We walked to the park every day and it took us about 10-15 mins to get there. There are a few places to eat along the way to DLR and we usually stopped at IHOP or Denny's in the mornings before we hit the park. All in all, it was a really good experience for the price. I would highly recommend it.

That is good to hear! i have stayed at a S8 in Santa Cruz, Ca. and it was a good property, clean rooms, and quiet, not inexpensive though, i don't think that it matters what time of year one goes to Santa Cruz, the rates everywhere are not the greatest!
