If you have stayed at the newly renovated B Resort in Downtown Disney, what is your opinion of it? Also, how was the bus service....how many other Downtown Disney hotels did it share a bus with?

Thanks in advance!

It gets good reviews on Mousesavers.com and they currently have a discount code for it.
I've only stsyed at a DTD hotel one night pre pkg, The Doubletree. But the bus transportation is good. Busses run every 30 min.

My sister and I did. We got a great discount (and like Sue said, there is another one now). :thumbsup2 The service was very good, and the decor stunning, if you like modern!
We did not use the bus transportation, so can't comment on that.

I know about the discount & booked using it last night. That's why I'm asking about The B. I'm concerned about the bus service in particular since we haven't stayed offsite in many years. (I know it comes every 30 minutes.)

So if anybody knows, I would really like to know how many other DTD hotels it picks up at (I've heard 2 or 3) & around how long it takes to get to the parks???
Also, does it pick up at The B first?

Thanks!!

The Royal Plaza Hotel. It's been completely renovated & looks beautiful in the pictures.

I stayed when it was Royal Plaza and now as the B - I was shocked at the transformation. I would never have known where I was. We loved it and def will be going back.

good to hear. I have stayed at the Royal Plaza. Their website is not available here at work...:dance3:....but as long as this place is I am fine. Will look at their website later.

When we stayed at the Royal Plaza, we used the DTD transportation instead of the one for the DTD hotels. :cool2:

Just so you know there are no buses from DTD to parks. You would have to get to a resort then transfer. In 10 days I stayed at two DTD hotels and was surprised that there seemed to be a steady flow of buses at those resorts.

I'm going to move this over to the Orlando Hotels board, where you'll find lots of discussion on the DTD hotels. :)

Liked it when it was The Royal Plaza though prefer the Hilton when staying on the hotel plaza strip. This due to its easier walking distance location to Mktplace and west end.

Stayed at the B in early November. Perfect, comfy beds, great balcony overlooking the pool. Bus service to the parks every 20 minutes and couches to sit on while you are waiting for the bus! :) Didn't try the restaurant but intend to on my next trip.

The B Resort after the remodeling is great. It is a modern, sleek look and is a good place to stay especially if you can get a good deal to stay there.

The bus services from the Down Town Disney hotels is pretty good actually. I was timing it for someone else over the weekend and from the Best Western to the Magic Kingdom took under 20 minutes .... That was stopping at two other resorts as well.

The timing of the runs varies depending on the time of the year. Most times they run every 20 minutes and other times it will run every 30 minutes.

There are two different busses for these hotels, the 'A' and 'B' busses. They run to the hotels below.

A Bus
Hilton
Holiday Inn
B Resort
Double Tree

B Bus
Best Western
Wyndham
Lake Buena Vista Palace
