Has anyone stayed at SSR in the past couple of weeks?

If so, please tell me how the bus service was???

I am traveling with a 9 month old for our first trip home and I am quite concerned because I know it is going to be HOT

So if anyone has just returned, please let me know if you had long waits for the busses.

We were just there the week of the 5th, and I would have to say we never waited more than 15 min at the most for a bus. And the buses were never crowded. Thats one of the reasons I love SSR so much, the great bus service, and no sharing with other resorts!

We were just there. The bus wait was not bad at all and the buses were not crowded. It was hot and it did rain almost everyday..but it was wonderful!!

What a fantastic first trip home! Flew on SW MDW-MCO-MDW - great rate, arrived on time and we were in our "studio home" at 12:57PM EDT. Had many "Welcome Homes" throughout our stay, CM's could not have been nicer.
We love the SSR. I have been following the discussions regarding it, could not wait to see for myself. WOW - it was awesome. We had a view of Downtown Disney our home was perfect. The pools were wonderdul, especially the quiet pool of Congress Park.

Next trip home at Xmas 2005 to SSR!

No, considering it was so hot they were not too bad. We actually took a day and hopped but didn't swim, except at BW, to see the other pools..BC, Poly, GF, and BW were all much more crowded than SSR.

What we really enjoyed at the SSR was the tranquility of the resort....it just didn't seem as busy as say the BC, which was a zoo.

We were there 5/22 - 5/26 (before the humidty really set in and the crowds, too). We only used the bus once (to Epcot) one morning. We were the only ones on the bus to Epcot. It was great and we didn't wait more than 10 minutes.

The drop off/pick-up at Epcot was pretty far, tho. We dropped off at a different point than we picked up. The drop off was probably the farthest drop-off there, so when we went to be picked up, we headed back that way. Only after walking ALL that way, did we realize that the pick-up was at the completely different end. We walked all the way back around to get to out pick-up. You'd think with adults we'd of figured this out, but noooo, too busy talking I guess.

Just wanted to mention this so that you'll pay attention to the signs. I know with a baby, you'll want to make sure you save yourself the extra mileage.

Bus service was a breeze at SSR last week. Never had any problems. The parks were massively crowded and it was HOT. Plus we had lots of rain. So add the humidity of the rain with the heat and poncho wearing was difficult.

also when we were at SSR in late may we seemed to always get those new 'low rider' buses! they are GREAT, especially if you're trying, like us, to huff a double stroller and two small kids onto it.
