Has anyone stayed at Bahamas Bay recently?

I checked the Orlando area resort board and nothing is recent. I have always stayed onsite and for a trip at the end of Jauary, MIL has booked the Bahamas Bay resort. There are 16 of us going and she booked 2, 3 bedroom rooms. Not sure how this will work as there are 5 families going and from what I see, atleast 1 beedroom in each of the 3 room set ups have 2 dbl beds. I have tried mentioned the cost of parking, tolls and the travel time will offset any savings but of course, I am wrong in her eyes. Looking for anyone with recent experience at this resort.

We stayed here in February. Great resort. Each bedroom sleeps 2 people and only one had twin beds. Typically you can get a 3 bedroom for under $100.00 per night at Bahama Bay. We rented through a private owner on www.vrbo.com. We have stayed onsite many many times and for 5 seperate families propably needing each their own room onsite I can see why your MIL booked Bahama Bay. This resort was very tropical and relaxing. A nice place to return to after a day in the parks. We didn't do any Disney parks on our trip but we went to dinner a few times onsite so I could see the travel times etc. Also the pool by the restaurant was nicely heated and had two hot tubs next to it also. We felt the pool was much warmer than any of the Disney pools we have been in.
Travel time took about 10-15mins to Animal Kingdom and 20-25mins to the other parks. You don't have to pay any tolls if you use the Sherberth Rd shortcut which brings you by Animal Kingdom first.
