Has anyone stayed at Ayres Hotel in Anaheim?

There is one by the Pond and another one that seems closer to Disneyland. Just wondering what they are like as I have not heard of them before. They seem like a pretty reasonable deal, with breakfast and afternoon snacks adn the pictures are lovely. Just wondering if there was a "catch".

It's been a while but we stayed at the one near the Pond. It was across from a hospital and we heard the ambulences often. Parking lot view so not much to brag about there. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. There was a small refrig in the room and a sofa that pulled out to a bed. Nice small pool and jaccuzi but you can hear the traffic from the busy street while swimming. The kids highlight of the swimming was watching a helicopter fly in someone to the hospital.

Breakfast was free and pleanty. It was not bad at all. We didn't use their shuttle as it only operated a few times during the day and they wanted us to sign up to return from the park at a specific time and since we didin't know when we would be tired and ready to come back we drove.

Would I stay there again - probably not. I prefer a simple hotel walking distance to DL. This was a bit of a drive. There was a fast food place next door (can't remember the name though)
