Has anyone stayed at a Disney Resort by trading points from Hilton Grand Vaca. Club?

We are contemplating joining HGVC and I was wondering if Disney lets their resorts participate in trading points through RCI (the Hilton's partner company to stay at non-Hilton properties)? I really like the HGVC program, but don't want to cancel myself out of ever staying at a Disney resort! Help!

Thanks!

Trades are not impossible, but pretty rare. The ones that show up tend to be in very slow DVC times - September or January.

I also think disney trades with II and not RCI.
This is correct, so only time-shares that go through II have the possibility of being on the DVC trade list.

Hilton trades with RCI. I've talked to a lot of people here lately that are very dissatisfied with RCI. They say they can't get any decent trades with RCI anymore. Some people think RCI is renting a lot of prime deposits and that's why they can't get decent exchanges anymore. Sort of like the fox guarding the hen house. ;)

Marriott, Hyatt, Disney, and soon Sheraton (some already do) trade with II (Interval International).

There are many great options in Orlando through II and RCI but as noted, DVC is not with RCI anymore. They moved from RCI to II in 1995.
