Has anyone seen the Cars characters at DL?

I've seen some posts here from WDW, but no mention of Mater, McQueen or any of the others at DL. My son (3 yrs old) is an INSANE cars fan, and it would be so fabulously exciting for him to get to see them!

yea I've seen them. They are over a DCA.. I too am a cars fan..

Mater and McQueen are in DCA, parked, across from Soarin'. Has a nicely-run line. In December they even had photopass photogs hanging out there, which made pictures easy!

and if i'm not mistaken, they're out all day, not sets like at WDW

Just a little additional info. They are full sized stationary props - they don't move or interact with guests. Different from most other "characters" but still a very nice photo op.

Nope. When Mater and Lightning moved to Condor Flats, they stopped driving around at all. Also, they'll probably be moving out from their Condor photo location when the new Pixar Play Parade opens.

Just between you and me, here is their little setup (along with a gleeful DS).

It's freaky how "lifelike" they look...oh, and in December they, or something near them, was revving engines, and it really sounded like they were doing it. But they don't move.

We always see them in CA, and DB loves them There is never a line, since they're always there - maybe a few people waiting for the current person to take their picture (on busy days) - but nothing to worry about!
