has anyone redeemed their voucher? What is verified at the gate?

I don't remember what information I gave when we signed up besides name and email. I'm assuming they wanted our address too, and that is where I am worried. We moved over the summer and DH and I haven't updated our ID's, to reflect our current address, and there is a chance we might have to move again this summer closer to DH's school, so even the address I would have given them would be wrong. What exactly do they verify at the gate besides the name on your ID? If they are verifying addresses, then i'll have to make sure DH and I get our DL updated before our trip. TIA!

I'm interested in this as well. I know someone posted a picture of a voucher somewhere, but I can't find it. Is the address listed anywhere on the voucher?

There is no address on the vouchers. I seriously doubt they will make an issue about it, if it does show up in their system when they scan the voucher. I believe that they will be more interested in matching names and verifying that the voucher is legit (i.e. you actually did the service). :thumbsup2

Thank you!

No address on the vouchers. There is a bar code and supposedly Disney looks you up in their system to verify you at the gate.

However, this is all the GAD FAQ page says...

What do I need to bring to the theme park to redeem my voucher?

To redeem your ticket at a Walt Disney World® or Disneyland® theme park, you must bring a valid photo ID along with your voucher. Valid ID is one of the following: valid Government Issued Passport, valid Driver's License including a photo, or valid Government Issued Photo ID. For children under 18 who do not have any of the previous listed IDs, a copy of a Birth Certificate is acceptable. School IDs or children security IDs are not deemed Government Issued Photo IDs and will not be accepted. Please note: the Guest whose name is on the voucher must be present at the time of ticket redemption (for example, parents cannot redeem tickets for their children in their absence.)

If the name on my voucher no longer matches my identification, how do I update my voucher?

Just bring proper documentation that shows the official name change to the name on your identification, along with your valid photo ID and voucher, to a Disney theme park at the time of redemption.

No mention is made of needing to confirm address.

When we used our vouchers this past Tuesday, they only checked our lincense and scanned the printed out voucher. They gave us our ticket which we had to sign there.

Wanted to add some reassurance - I received an email back from Disney and they said not to worry about addresses not matching. They are only checking ID to match names :thumbsup2

What do you mean by you had to sign there? I am wondering because this is what I want to do when we go in April. We will all have GAD vouchers with us but DH has no interest in actually going in the park although he will come with us to will call to use his voucher. I am the only one with a current multi day ticket, so since we are going at a busy time of year, I want to use my voucher to get the GAD FPs and then use DH ticket to actually enter the park. So I am wondering if the tickets themselves (as opposed to the vouchers) actually have a name on them and then we may have a problem with my plan!

From the Disney GAD FAQ page...

Can I give the free ticket to someone else?

The ticket is non-transferable so you may not give it to someone else, but you may donate your ticket to one of the following non-profit organizations designated by Disney Parks through this site:

* Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida
* Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern California
* Dreams Take Flight Canada
