Has anyone purchased an annual passport by calling the UK DLP number

Now that hubby has officially got himself a bib-only entry to the half marathon I've been browsing round the threads and sites to brush up on applying for an AP. The thread for applying by post is great and I planned to do that mid-summer so we didn't cut it to close to when we needed it. But looking at the uk site it now says (which I'm sure it didn't in December) that you can get them at the gate or by calling their reservations number http://www.disneylandparis.co.uk/annual-passeports/

So I was curious if anyone had done this yet. Is it a full pass or a temporary one that needs to be exchanged, how long did it take to arrive, were the UK costs comparable to the EU price?

Thanks in advance.

First time I've been shown that link so I have no idea how it would function. Interesting and if you were to ring I'd love to hear the result :)

I'm wondering if it's really new. Looking at the French site you can now apply online and pay monthly (with a French bank account only) so looks like they may have added a few new ways to apply.

If no one else responds I may ring just to find out. If I do I'll report back here. I don't really need them in hand until end of August for the September trip, but I like knowing in advance what needs to be done and when so there's no mixups or surprises.

The possibilty of buying one and paying monthly if you live in France with a French bank account has been in place for a few years now but I always get my Ap's through work so have to pay for them outright.

After asking around no one on the French forums have heard about the UK possibilty and think it must be new too.

I'd would have thought that when you ring either they will send you the form to fill out and order it by post like you can do already but maybe it would be a form in English rather than having to translate it or they would take payment over the phone by card and then send you an email with atemporary AP that you would need to change in the AP office. They can't put a direct debit on a foreign bank account as they have no way of getting the money if it's blocked. That's why it's such a pain here for foreigners to rent an appartment as we need a guarantee with a French bank account so they can get their rent if we don't pay !

I'm from the US, and I was offered the chance to purchase my annual passport over the phone last year. Since I was already overseas, it was a temporary pass. If the first person says no, I'd call until you find someone who knows how.

Interesting, as the page seemed to imply the online pay monthly application was new. I totally understand about not being able to DD foreign banks. Just a shame as that would be so handy.

Thanks for asking around. I'm in no rush so will give it a bit before calling and checking it out.
