I have seen suggestions for alternate autograph collections - hats, t-shirts, tote bags so I was wondering if anyone had any experience with making "autograph" pillowcases. I am trying to think of something different from the autograph books since we have acquired a number of them with three kids and 6 trips behind us. Any suggestions/examples, etc would be greatly appreciated. TIA!!

I have been asking about different things to have autographed and someone gave me the idea to embroider over the signatures. This would eliminate the fading and it looks great!!

Just an idea!

I just saw Disney themed pillow cases at the craft store, they came with fabric markers.

I love the idea of a pillowcase. My kids don't like characters, so as an alternative, last year we went to a big DIS meet and my DD had all the other kids sign a pillowcase and we got a Mickey Mouse embroidered on it. It is an awesome memory!:goodvibes

We did this on our last trip. I took fabric markers in different colors. They have been washed and they still look great. I think it makes a cute place for autographs and a really cute souvenoir. Make sure you wash the pillowcases before you have them autograped.

Thanks for the advice. Now, just exactly how did you carry these around and how did you go about getting autographs? DH asked me how I thought I was going to get them autographed and I told him I was going to carry a squarish piece of cardboard and binder clips to hold the pillowcase in place. Suggestions?

I basically did just what you are planning. I had a piece of cardboard (not really big) inside the pillowcase. I kept the pillowcase folded up and kept it inside a large ziplock bag. It fit in our bag when we weren't using it. I didn't think it was any harder to manage than a regular autograph book.
