Has anyone here tried Gabapentin for nerve pain?

Going to give it a week or two before deciding. I have my nephew's wedding next month and want to be able to attend without so much pain.

I've tried it.

It made me fall over. :rotfl2: (But I wasn't laughing.) In other words, it made me dizzy enough to have to grab the wall, the couch, people, whatever was around. And a couple of times, I made it to the ground.

The dizziness caused nausea.

I took it for a week, until I had to give it up.

I was bad enough that I have it on my emergency card that I carry in my wallet. It is also noted at my pharmacy.

OP Here.

It's been 8 days and I have to say I feel so much better. Last week it hurt to breathe, this week I was able to be in the car
for over two hours and not want to jump out!

The grogginess only lasted two days. I've been sleeping better and it has even helped with my anxiety. I'm sorry I let the
commercials listing all the side effects scare me for all these years. Time will tell, but so far I'm happy with the results.

Thank you to everyone who shared their stories.

So glad it's helping and that you gave it a try for yourself.

So glad it's helping you OP! I was just going to comment, just try it. It's a fairly safe drug. Obv some are more sensitive to certain things but yeah, I'm glad you've found some relief

I have been taking it for years. It’s one of those drugs that you don’t think is working until you stop taking it a couple of days and you realize that it is working.

Took it for three months for sciatica, before surgery. Definitely lessened the pain. Haven't taken it since.
