Has anyone here ever stopped coloring their hair and let the gray take over?

DON'Tpants up under her arm pits DO IT!!! SIL did and she looks 10 years older than she did. She also acts 10 years older than she did before she went grey. DD asked me after we saw her last Sunday why Aunt Judy wears her ? As for me, I'll stop coloring my hair when they pry the gloves and bottle from my cold, dead hands.

:lmao: :lmao:

I developed a patch of white in the back of my head when I was around 11. I started going grey at the temples at 19 and that's when I started coloring my hair. I wish I didn't have to because I always loved my original color but I just have too much grey for a 31 yr old.
The sad thing is that my Mother just started going grey last year at 49 and just colored her hair for the first time at Christmas.

I've been thinking about this for the last few months. I've colored my hair ever since it went completely whitish...probably a good ten years or more. It's such a pain. I use Loreal Exellence. It covers the gray pretty well. My hair dresser says to start with the gray roots, and leave that on up to 40 minutes extra before coloring the rest. That scares me, but she says it won't harm the hair. Then put the rest of the color on the remaining hair. I haven't been brave enough to leave it on that long though.
I.

You really can leave it on 40 minutes and then comb it through the rest of the hair...if it needs it. It does cover the gray.I use Loreal Excellence Med. Blonde #8. Sometimes in the summer it really fades so I called Loreal and did a "tint back". I checked with my hairdresser before I did it and she said that it was the right thing to do. I am sorry, I don't remember how long I left it on but what they said I needed to do was to redeposit warm tones. She said to use Prefercance. Take two bottles of color and add it to one bottle of developer. It worked great and then the following month I went back to my usual color. If I were to do it again, which I am sure sometime I will have to, I would call for "tint back" directions.

NO NO NO!!!!! My gray ones will never show!!!!!!!! :lmao:
My DD is my hairdresser so I get my "beauty treatments" for free (since I paid her way thru beauty school...haha) We are always trying new things! The color of choice right now is a nice mocha with just a touch of red and awesome caramel highlights.... :thumbsup2
I will probably color forever!!!

 :scared:  No Way! Its a vanity thing.......

I get mine weaved with 3 colors (Red, Auburn and Blond) about every 3-4 months. With the weave and all the different colors, the "growth" really doesn't show.
