Has anyone heard of an X-Men character called Avalanche?

I got an X-Men action figure of a character named Avalanche and I had never ever seen or heard of this character before so I would LOVE to know more about him? According to what I know so far about Avalanche is that if someone touches his hands Avalanche can cause actual avalanches hence his name and he has powers similar to Frozen's Elsa has. From the Youtube videos I saw Avalanche does look really cute and is he one of the underrated X-Men characters?

Yes, he was part of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants with Mystique and then later on Freedom Force which was a government sponsored mutant group that was tasked with hunting down the X-Men. I'm pretty sure he's on the old X-Men cartoon in the 90s.

He's kind of a staple villain, though with the X-Men these days they just let the villains join the main teams, so I don't know his current affiliation. His classic design was always cool though. I miss when characters would just have a giant initial on their chest!

I do LOVE that picture of Avalanche Brian. I found out that his real name is Lance and in the X-Men comics he has a different name. Is there another costume Avalanche wears that is silver and dark blue without the A on his chest? Because my Avalanche figure has this costume. I sometimes cannot say the name Avalanche because my parents think I am talking about our family car because it's also a Chevy Avalanche and my dad laughs about it. But anyway Avalanche does remind me of Black Bolt but as I said Avalanche is really cute and hope he makes appearences in the MCU in the future. Thank you for the info Brian

That's like hsis classic look, but they change costumes in comic books all the time, especially for side characters. He has worn blue an dwhit or blue and silver without the "A" a lot and his shoulder pads change up some depending on the artist. Here's something a bit more recent.
