Has anyone who lives in Texas ever been to an amusement park called Western Playland? It is an amusement park located in El Paso and is one of El Paso's top amusement parks and now it's at it's new location close to Las Cruces New Mexico. My mom used to go there when she was a kid and we went to Western Playland once and my family thought it was alright. Western Playland was El Paso's answer to Disneyland and they have roller-coasters and waterslides and other rides too

If I lived in Houston given the choice of driving 950 miles to Disney World or 750 miles to Western Playland.... Not too hard to figure out which place would win out.

My mom used to go to Western Playland when she was growing up in Texas and her relatives would have picnics sometimes when they would go and when we went one time when my family went to visit my grandmother my family went to Western Playland once with my aunt and cousin I thought it was okay but it wasn't as good as Disneyland. I cannot figure out why Western Playland chose to move to New Mexico rather than stay in El Paso because according to what my mom told me "and this isn't false info by the way" the city of El Paso fought to keep Western Playland in El Paso but they ended up moving to New Mexico and they have completely changed Western Playland's image after the move
