Has anyone had to put in a claim with the DVC trip insurance?

I am considering purchasing the insurance that Member services sells. I called the insurance company --TravelEx. They said if something happens, they do not rebank your points--which I assumed they didn't. They said they give you a monetary value for those points. Can anyone tell me if they have had experience with this and what the insurance company considers a monetary value for points lost? Thanks so much!

You get your dues amount on the points refunded. So if your dues are $5 a point and the cancelled stay was 100 points, you get $500. There is also value in other coverages included, like lost luggage, emergency medical costs if sick/injured on the trip.
