I think I remember hearing of someone having that YEARS ago - probably back in the late 70's early 80's. I didn't know they still did that. I thought it didn't work?
That is what it is supposed to do -you rub it a half hour before you eat I believe. It is on some type of pressure point two places actually. I guess it is a form of acupuncture. My thought though if it did work wouldn't everyone have figured it out by now??
I actually did this along with a few coworkers a year or so ago at an accupuncturist and no it didnt work for any of us.. I didnt lose any weight at all.. It didnt really hurt that much.. it felt pretty much like when you get your ears pierced.. the worst part was that mine came out a bit and I didnt know it and it got infected.. I had it taken out.. it hurt worse when it was taken out rather than when it was put in..
I took DD to a skating party yesterday and one of the mothers there was talking about a friend having her ears stapled. She was acually having it done at the same time we were at the party. I have a feeling we were losing more weight running our mouths than her friend was by having her ears done.
Thats crazy...lol maybe they should focus on the mouth and how much food is going into it rather than ears and pressure points...lol I know thats my problem, how much and what I eat...
A friend of mine has this done by accupuncture. She said it didn't really hurt or anything. She was supposed to rub the area before she was supposed to eat and if she got hungry between meals. It didn't work though.
Thanks so much for your replies! I guess this was too good to be true. Supposedly a friend of a friend of a friend lost 80lbs. Ok back to diet and exercise!!
