Has anyone had any luck?? A Tusker House question :(

Our trip is booked for September 24-29th with 2 of my DGS's.
Our tradition has ALWAYS been to take our grandkids to Tusker House breakfast on our AK day (September 27th this year). We always try and go at the first ressie of the morning (8-8:15am). We didn't decide to go this year until FD came out. By the time I got my package booked, all the breakfast ressies for 6 were gone There are no breakfast ressies for a party of 6 at all on any day of our trip

Has anyone had any luck finding a ressie at Tusker House Breakfast closer to their trip day?

I was able to get one 2 months out in March, but we were a party of 3. There is still hope since the cancellation policy is being enforced. Just keep trying every day!!! Good Luck!

That gives me a little hope
There is an 8:05am for 2 and a 9:50am for 4 but nothing for 6, so I will pray a little more and just keep hoping and watching

Keep checking online for cancellations because they will come up as people's plans change. You can also subscribe to the September cancellation thread on the Dining Reservations sub-forum.

We booked our June trip late. I've been watching one specific date in late June but the only time available was 10:40.....I went back and forth on snatching it up, but passed because I wanted an earlier time. That ADR disappeared yesterday, but today a 9:20 opened. Still not as early as I wanted, but I took it. Not long after grabbing it, a 9:10 opened, so I dropped the 9:20 and picked up the 9:10. I'm hoping in the next month an even earlier one pops up. I will also say in the last month I have been able to find pre-park openings for CRT, Hollywood & Vine and Crystal Palace that other's have dropped. It does happen and you've got plenty of time for lots of people to change their plans. Goodluck and lots of pixie dust to you

I just picked up an 8:05am ressie for 3 on June 29 about 15 minutes ago. Just decided this evening that I wanted to do a character breakfast in one of the parks and came across a lot of good reviews for TH. Couldn't believe I could find something that early on my one AK day!

Not Tusker House, but I just got an Akershus pre-opening 3 weeks before our trip and a CP pre-opening (8am) last week and we leave tomorrow. Just keep checking!

I'm not sure how old your grandchildren are but when I asked my kids this year if they wanted to go back to Tusker House or Rainforest Cafe on the AK park day, all 3 of them said Rainforest Cafe. We haven't had breakfast there but we really enjoyed the lunch there and it's pretty exciting for the kids in there. Just an option if for some reason you are unable to get the reservation you are hoping for. Good luck!

My husband actually did all the concrete work/sculptures in the Rainforest Cafe here in the DFW metroplex area so we go to the one here quite often We do love Rain Forest
Tusker House has been a tradition for our family so I am going to hope and pray for an early ressie to come open and just keep on checking and hopefully I will get some of your good luck

YAY!!! It seems that most times the ressies open after the 60 day mark when everyone starts finalizing their plans. Right now, I am checking every hour, so I will just keep on checking

Every hour will drive you crazy, I did the same, but found I was consumed. I know there was one last night for 8pm at CRT and 8pm at Ohana while we were there, thinking of changing my times, since we have a 9pm at CRT, my girls are older and we will be at HS all day and have 2 hours to get changed/relax until the 9pm ressie, then ride until 2am.

You will find something!!! I almost gave up on Ohana and pow, there it was one morning when I checked. Now I find one almost every day at one time or another.

Still watching for my TH early breakfast and I have a question for my disboard friends.


I saw an 8:10 for 4 on one of my dates and one for 8:05 for 2. Has anyone ever booked 2 separate ressies like that?

And if you have, where you ever able to sit together when you checked in? I would never want to take a table from another family but I do remember in the past sitting next to a family of 4 sitting at a table for 6 (or 8) and wondering why they would do that.

I have never had to try a split ressie since I always booked on my 180+10 date but I may get desperate if nothing comes open for 6 and if we can't sit together, maybe we could sit close.

I am just wondering how they would handle that
