Has anyone gotten a free upgrade on a Disney Cruise when using DVC points?

Is there any chance of getting a free upgrade when we used our DVC points for our disney cruise in Feb. 2007? We went on the Magic in Feb 2006 but paid cash for our Disney Cruise and got upgraded from a Cat 6 to a Cat 4 for free. Is there anyone that got upgraded for free when they used their DVC points??

I know it's happened but very rarely. I wouldn't hold out much hope.

Thanks for the reply! I am not holding my breath. It would be a nice surprise. We booked a Cat 9 this time since we are only doing the 4 day cruise and really didn't use our balcony all that much on our 7 day. But when I told my son that we where not going to have a balcony he was disappointed.

We got upgraded from a cat 6 to a cat 4 using DVC points.
MS called us 4 days before the cruise to tell us the news.
It was great to have all that room. but it was a little wasted as it was just DH and me.

We just got the call from member services that we were upgraded from a two cat 11's across from each other to two cat 10's adjoining for our 1-20 -07 Eastern on the Magic. We used DVC points and are very excited.

I wish I could get upgraded. A category 11 was all that was left when we booked using our points a few months ago.

Oh well...at least we'll be at BWV for 2 nights and then a 4 night cruise over Christmas.

DH and I got upgraded in January from a Cat. 11 to Cat. 8.

It was a nice surprise

We got upgraded from an inside state room to a verandah....but our stateroom had bugs...I don't think that counts.....
