on the ABD for Egypt? What was it like? Was it eventful? Safe?

To my knowledge, only one departure of the Egypt trip ever went. ABD deemed the situation too dangerous and cancelled all the rest (they tried a couple of times to re-schedule them, but, again, to my knowledge, that one was the only one that went, and I don't recall if we ever heard from anyone who went.) I know a father & son who were on my Greece trip tried twice to take the Egypt trip, and had it cancelled on them both times. (They did Greece as a replacement for the second attempt. I forget where they went the first time).

Heaven only knows if it will ever be offered again.

Having traveled to Tunis, Tunisia with DCL in 2010 I would be hesitant to travel to North Africa today. We were lucky enough to tour the Bardo Museum and see all the Roman mosaics and statues going back to the first century. Years later I was saddened when all those tourist were killed in the same museum. A large number of passengers were very upset at DCL for they felt unwelcome and unsafe when they were in Tunis. It is a shame that that part of the world, which holds secrets going back to the dawn of man is so caught up in religious unrest.

I see that on their website that they no longer offer the ABD Egypt tour. Anyone else see that?

I noticed that as well. It's about time. Hopefully one day the situation will improve in Egypt and the region. I'd love to visit.
