Has anyone gate checked a sit and stand?

Are these allowed to be gate checked? I'm looking into getting one of these for our next trip but am wondering if a double umbrella stroller would be better.

My kids will be DS 6, and twin DS's 2. I was thinking of getting a sit and stand for one of the twins and my 6yo and then taking another stroller for my other twin. Only I'm worried about splitting up and then I'm stuck behind with a sit and stand and another stroller while DH takes DS6 on rides. I don't think I could push these 2 strollers very effectively on my own.

Any suggestions?

We gate check our Joovy Sit and Stand all the time...never been a problem. We send it through security, let the kid's ride to the gate, pick up a gate check tag, and leave it folded at the bottom of the jetway.

don't think it would be aproblem. I've get checked a graco double and it is the same length as my joovy so. . .

totally understand about being left with 2 strollers and only one set of hands as older ones and DH go off to ride. . .ugh.

The only kind of stroller you can't gate-check is the kind that you have to dis-assemble to fold; the sort with separate seats that must be taken off.

Big joggers where the front wheel has to come off to fold it can also be a bit of a problem, but I've seen many people either carry on the wheel in a sack, or bungee it securely to the stroller before turning it over to the ramp personnel.

We will be gate cheking our sit n stand too. Never done it before, we just got the stroller, but I think it will help us alot to have 2 of our 4 children contained up to the gate.:)

Good Luck!

I was just thinking...Joovy has a double stroller with the stand option included....so then you could fit all 3 kids. If you are concerned about not needing it after your trip you could always keep the box it came in and EBAY it...I noticed that they seem to sell pretty good there.

YES! love this stroller I went to Disney last year DS6 and DD2 (at the time) we were traveling from grand cayman to Orlnado and I gate checked this stoller at the gate in Miami as well as on the way home no problem

HI. I gate checked mine too. But I put it in a stroller bag. I had an attached snack tray get severly damaged on another stroller. So I felt safer putting it in a bag. It was no problem.

Have fun!
