Has anyone flown with Air New Zealand?

I presume you mean to LAX, and if that is the case, not until next month.

However, I have flown Air NZ many times and I think they are great. I've flown about two dozen different airlines and Air NZ count in my top 3 (with Emirates and Virgin Atlantic) for service and comfort.

We go on the 6th of September, so not much use to you right now. We've booked a Skycouch too.

20 years ago - does that count? :rotfl: Best flights ever! I'm sure its a lot different now, but all I remember was the high school kids on winter break (heading to Tahiti) coming back from the galley with six packs of beer in their hands. :rotfl2:

We flew with Air NZ Melb-LAX in 2011 and they were brilliant. Very friendly staff, nice food (but I am one of those weirdo's who loves airline food!) and reasonably comfortable. Great in-flight entertainment too :thumbsup2. We must've liked it - we're doing it all over again, with Air NZ, next month!!! (Ooh, I love saying "next month"). :yay:

We are flying Air NZ next month too to LAX. Has anyone used that food ordering service that they offer?

My son is kind of excited by it as he thinks he can just request food whenever he wants from it.
I suspect this might not be the case? Any ideas what you can order from it - is it just to order your meals or can you order drinks and snacks as well?

Next month, yes, that does sound good. I thought I was pretty special being able to say 3 months :rotfl2:
My kiddies would love to order food at will.:rotfl:

We flew with them from MEL to LAX via AUK in both '07 and '09.

We found them fantastic! The crew were great, the planes were comfortable, there was good entertainment options.

Overall they were a much better service on this route than Qantas (although haven't flown on an A380 with Qantas yet).

I would definitely fly with them again! :thumbsup2

Their service is pretty good.

The only thing is the stop in AUK; but that's not necessarily a bad thing to break the flight up there and have a stretch of the legs.

On our Air NZ flights to Honolulu in December/January, my girls had a ball ordering drinks and snacks through their in-seat TV's. After a while I had to stop them as I suspected it was driving the hosties crazy! :rotfl2:

I did not realise you had another trip in the makings. We are flying Air NZ for the 4th time next month. I actually prefer the flight through AKL as the long haul flight is at night. Beats flying from BNE when the kids are awake for the first 9 or so hours. And arriving in the US at lunch time is better than early in the morning.
