Has anyone ever taken a fold up chair for the beach??

Just was thinking about some of the "free" beaches on the western.It looks on Eden beach the snorkeling is great but there is no chairs and I hate laying on the sand.Has anyone ever taken one of those fold up chairs in the bag like you use at soccer games? Just thinking it would be handy,but don't know if it would be allowed.DH would be embarrassed at me too for bring a chair on! lol!!

actually, when we travel we take a beach umbrella, wrap it in plastic with duct tape, and check with our luggage

nothing worse than being stuck on a beach, with no cover to be found, frying, and ruining the rest of your trip

we bring the roll of duct tape and extra plastic to wrap to return home ...

now, with those telescoping chairs (target was 7.00 this week),
the chair may not be a bad idea especially if you'rr not keen on sitting in sand....
