Has anyone ever successfully used travel insurance to claim for a cancelled trip on rented points?

I'm trying to find a travel insurance company that will actually cover a dvc rental. As in, I rent points from another owner on the DVC rental board, and then I purchase travel insurance that will cover that rental in case someone in my party gets sick. I know there have been a lot of posts of people who have **purchased** travel insurance, but I'm looking for a report from sommeone that has successfully used travel insurance for a claim such as this. I'd like to rent points for an upcoming trip and I am just really skeptical that an insurance policy on a rental like this would work, but I'd like to be wrong. Thanks in advance!

Edit: I also don't really trust whatever the call center rep for the insurance company tells me if I ask on the phone, because none of them that I have spoken to thus far seems to at all comprehend what I am asking when I try to describe the above scenario.

The thing I would be concerned about is if they would accept a claim from a reservation made with an individual vs an agency.
