Has anyone ever stayed on the beach in Florida?

We would like to rent a house or 2/3 bedroom condo ON a beach with a great beach view with DHs parents for Christmas 2010.

DHs dad has mobility limitations so will spend most of the vacation at the house/condo, therefore a great beach view is very important for him.

Has anyone ever rented a house/condo with this sort of set-up in Florida? If so, can you please post a link to the listing for us to check out.

We have stayed in New Smyrna beach for many years. There are many condos for rent along the coast. You can do a search at Vacation Rentals and many will come up (as you can put in your requirements). We stay at

More out of nostalgia as my Uncle owned a condo there for many years. There are many newer ones though. These are 2 bedroom but you can rent 3 or 4 bedroom in other places. There are oceanview (front condos) but even the ones on the side can still see the ocean and are all wheelchair accessible (also not far from a ramp down to the beach).

We owned on St Pete's Beach for many years and there are some great condo's along there..I think our building would not be big enough as they are all 1 bdrms but the Gulf Coast is lovely and a little more temperate in the winter months. Siesta Key in Sarasota is very nice as well...I will try to recall some names.

Don't forget Disney's vero Beach Resort, it is right on the beach.

So many great beaches both on the Atlantic & Gulf coasts. We've only stayed in a hotel, but loved the St. Pete area, Cocoa Beach & Ft. Lauderdale beaches.

Yes! We have been staying at Isla de Sol on the Intercoastal Waterway for 10 years now. Great condos, with great amenities. Close to the beach, great views, every "set" of condos has its own pool. Water or golf course views. Can't wait to go back before WDW ... 81 days to go!
