Has anyone ever stayed at the hotel Dolphin's Cove?

Today I booked the Dolphin's Cove Hotel, for my next visit to Disneyland. I never stayed there before. I booked the hotel, because I got some bonus points with a recent timeshare purchase.

I would appreciate any feedback about this hotel. I need to do a lot of research, before my vacation begins on May 28, which I now realize is Memorial Day. Not so sure I should have picked that day to travel, but I will make the best of that decision. I have a 5 night stay.

I am mostly concerned about getting to the hotel from the airport, since I don't drive, and I am also concerned about getting to the park from the hotel. I have stayed at the Hilton Anaheim, Candy Cane Inn, and the Howard Johnson, on previous vacations.

Thanks for any feedback.

Yes, I have stayed there and was very happy with it. They completely renovated about 2 years ago and the rooms are nice. It is nice to have a full kitchen and lots of space. They also have free laundry for use! We also BBQed one night, they provide the tools and the grills are there.

We rode the ART staying there, the one in front of Dennys was hit or miss so we would walk across the street and catch the one that went to the Doubletree. I have also heard of people walking down the street to the Toy Story lot and taking the shuttle but that could be frowned upon.

If you have other questions, let me know!

We will be staying there in Feb. Planning on writing a review when we return.

We have stayed there twice - in fact, just got home from there 2 weeks ago today!

It is very nice. Dolphin's Cove used to be an apartment complex, so full kitchens & dining space. There is free laundry onsite, but not in your unit. They come in on days 2 & 4 (of a full week stay) to switch out your linens and take garbage. Secure parking, nice pool, etc. We have really enjoyed our stays there. In fact, we recommend it over the other, newer, Wyndham/Worldmark property.

The walk is a little too far for us, but we did it the morning of the first day. That night we asked a CM "Where are those buses going?" He told us about the Toy Story parking lot, and we realized that riding the bus would cut our walk by half. We asked if that was okay (told him we hadn't actually parked there) and he said yes. :) Every morning & night we walked in & out of the TS lot and nobody ever side anything to us. The buses are sooooo convenient. We never had to wait more than a minute for a bus.

Enjoy your time at Dolphin's Cove!

Thanks so much for the information. I was wondering about the Toy Story buses. If I can take that bus, that means that I won't have to pay for an ART pass. That would be nice.

We are here now! So far so good. The kitchen is surprisingly well stocked with decent cookware, the rooms clean, it was qiet last night too. The pool is heated, the exercise room small but well maintained. There are loads of free/low cost activities for kids, which we have yet to enjoy. I was thinking in the future I would consider returning just for the ability to save by cooking my own food. Also, they have a deal right now, go to a time share info breakfast and get $100. I'm doing that tomorrow.

We always do WM presentations, one for the money and two, we seem to always pick up some great tips. Only one time did they get pushy with us and that was at the Seaside resort. Other than that, enjoy lunch on them!
