Has anyone ever missed their connecting flight with Southwest?

I am starting to panic, just a little. I have a connecting flight from MHT to BWI with about 25 minutes leeway. I am flying the day before Easter so I am starting to panic. Please tell me I am worrying for nothing.

Where are you flying from and what flight are you on? You may have a ticket that has a stop but not a plane change I can check for you. Also what price did you pay? Because I see a lot of flight prices went down today:)

Mht to BWI. Flight 3822 connecting to flight 383.

I will have a short connection on a June flight. I'm considering getting the Early Bird Check in, just so our chances of having seats as close to the front of the plane as possible.

I know it's not the best solution, but I really hate being in the back of the plane and having to wait for everyone in front to get off first. Especially knowing that for some of them, this is their final destination, and they don't have to hurry.

Paying so that I can try to snag the closest seat to the front is worth it to me.

I see you will have to change planes. Make sure that you sit in the front of the plane so that you are one of the first ones off.

That would be too tight a connection for me. Even if your plane arrives on time and your connecting plane is at the next gate, it is likely almost everyone will have boarded by the time you get there. You may not make it.

SW is verry good at getting short connection time passengers to thier next plane.

We have often done this 25 minutes in-between... the walk has always been just one or 2 gates away... SW will herd you like cats to get you to the correct place! Also Southwest is known for getting in early. (we have always had plenty of time) Good luck and yes sit towards the front and have a great trip!

We were late one time and they held the flight for us and a couple other passengers. I was told that they will normally do this if it is only a short period of time.
But with most SW flights the gates are all in the same area and you should be all set!

SW doesn't schedule "impossible connections". There is an excellent chance you'll make the connecting flight.

An "A" BP won't do you any good if the plane has boarded before your flight lands. When SW holds the flight passengers are told to board and take any empty seat. The plane will "push back" the movement you're seated. Unless you have a very young child, and maybe not even then, the FA won't take the time to ask for volunteers to switch. There isn't time.

You have to decide if you're willing to be split up. Your first plane might land early.

But an Early Bird Check in on the leg of the trip before the 25-minute connection will POSSIBLY allow you the opportunity to be at the front of the plane so that you can deplane as quickly as possible to get to the next plane.

The 25 minutes can be very easily spent sitting on a plane staring at everyone in front of you trying to get down their luggage from the bins. I'd do everything I can to sit as close to the front as possible, so I'm getting the Early Bird Check in.

Paying for EBCI makes some sense. I'd probably do it. The EBCI passenger who gets the highest numbered BP will only be getting a BP one number better then one passenger who checks in at T-24.

Getting off the plane earlier might help you get a better seat on the connecting flight. Regardless you run the risk of the flight being held for the few passengers on your first flight and no matter what you do you'll wind up with middle seats on your connecting flight.

Although I'm thinking you might be fine, a 25 minute connection is the minimum connection time for BWI (legal connection).
