Has anyone ever had any problems in the parks?

Just curious, I know on some of the embroidery forums they talk about how if you go into either WDL or WDW, they will confiscate your homemade Disney designs. Even if they are done on the Brother embroidery machine that comes with Disney designs! I know there was one DISigner here that got a warning (which I think was hogwash since she wasn't manufacturing OR selling.) Beyond that has Disney said anything? We all know they monitor these boards.

So, I would LOVE to make some of the t-shirts etc. here, but I don't want to have our wardrobe confiscated (I'm a little too shy to run around nakie, the 3 year old would prefer it I'm sure). Has anyone ever had any trouble?

from what I've heard, those who are singled out for their shirts get compliments from the CM's, not harassment.

I've gotten compliments from CMs on the shirts I made - and I had tees for 8 people for 2 days so it was a CROWD wearing these designs this past May.\\\

I seriously couldn't see disney employees asking you to remove a homemade mickey t-shirt

I have for years made t-shirts for my trips and have never ever been stopped and asked "where I got it "," how it was made"," please remove the t-shirt it's ours now"

I think disney goes out of their way to see to it families have a great time while on their property and the least they are worried about is a 5.00 homemade t-shirt.

Now I have had some CM's comment on how they like our t-shirts but in all the times I have went I have never even been asked where I got the design from::cop:

Do you realize how many people that they would have to get to everyday :
t-shirts
mickey stenciles on tennis shoes
hats with homemade mickey buttons
strollers with homemade mickey mouse covers
people with trading pins from ebay....

If your really worried the disney store has t-shirts for 2.99 right now on sale

we had no problems with out mickey stick figure family shirts in april. my sil had them printed for me at the school where she works and she saved the disign and reworked it for her family trip last week...she added glasses,and different skin tones and even a heart pendant on her niece . they got many great comments on thier shirts...she even has pix of my dgniece and dgnephew with pochahontas and she is pointing to their shirts and smiling and saying how much she likes them...i am now looking for disigns for upcoming trip with my other dd and her 3 girls! will be a different kinda trip with all lil princess's! i love all these disgns and they jump started my dd to draw and then fabric paint shirts for dgs & dgd on our april trip,some pix inmy trip report...

We went to AK last year and had a HUGE amount of compliments on our shirts. The CM's kept asking us to stop so that they could read them. One CM even made us wait while he went and found Timon so that he could take a picture with us !!!I couldn't believe it ! As long as my family goes to Disney, we will have homemade shirts. It just adds to the magic !!!

I agree with everyone else. You won't run in to any problem with home made shirts in the parks (unless you're trying to sell them there.)

OMG! I have to know where you got that design from. My DH will repeat that part of the movie for DAYS after we have watched Lion King. Along with all the rest of that monolog/ song. He would LOVE it.

Thanks !! I did the shirts.I'ts our favorite part of the movie !! I laughed for days when I came up with the idea and we had quite a few giggles at AK too !!

No problem, just glad I could help ! My DH was the same way ! He was terrified that I was going to make him wear some really lame shirt, but was really happy when I came up with this. Now I just have to come up with something catchy for this year.....
