Has anyone ever done this??

We are currently DVC members with a our home resort at BWV and an add on at VB. We are wanting to buy an additional ownership at VWL, but have some questions.
1. can we qualify for MB?
2. Do we HAVE to put anything down?
It seems that DVC should allow current members to finance without a down payment.
Has anyone ever brought that up or done that?
Could use info!

I added on at VWL and got MB. There was a 100 point minimum to get MB.

no you can't finance without a down payment - but they have lower the down payment to 10% but the interest rate is higher. You can still do the 20%. there was also another interesting note - the automatic bank draft was cheaper (it use not to be) than a regular monthly payment (you send them a check). So you can get a discount that way too.

You must buy at least 25 points, you can finance with 50 points.

It seems they should do something for current members who want to add on or purchase another interest. To expect you to come up with money down every time, when they are already getting your payments on time every month, doesn't seem right. Where is the incentive for current members to add on or purchase again?

I have left 5 messages over the past two weeks and have not recieved a call back.

I did an add on of 50pts at HHI. Put 20% down on my credit card and financed the rest. Unlike my original purchase, where I had to put 50% down and provide more information than when I bought my home, financing this time was pretty much automatic. Apparently, once they approve you originally, the add on is also approved.

I recently added 50 points at WV. I thought the DVC financing rates were too high. My local bank gave me a no cost home equity line of credit. The interest rate is just below prime.
