Sorry - you're correct. I suppose you could still do it if both parties had multiple contracts though. I know it's not based on account but rather based on your contract(s).Chuck S said:Actual point swaps won't work. If you receive points into your account, you are not allowed to transfer points out, and if you transfer point out you're not allowed points in, from any one during the remainder of your use year. The way to accomplish this is to trade "reservations" with someone. If there is a difference in the number of points between the ressies, appropriate compensation (if any) is at the sole discretion of the two parties involved. Basically, you'll be renting reservations from each other.
Point transfers are "one way" transactions during a given use ear.

Only if they were separate contracts of a single owner.mydogdrew said:Sorry - you're correct. I suppose you could still do it if both parties had multiple contracts though. I know it's not based on account but rather based on your contract(s).
Written rules in the Multi Site POS but only in the later editions as the rules have changed. In he past it was one in or one out. Now it's multiple in one direction but only one direction per use year.funcinderella said:How do you know this? Is it just from experience, or is it written down somewhere? (It would be anice to have a handbook explaining all of these things...)
I'd simply reserve VWL and then call day by day at 7 months.iankh said:What prompted my wondering about all of this was for our next trip, which isn't until December '06 we'd like to stay at either BCV or BWV. I know that VWL is very hot at Christmas, so had wondered how it would work if I found someone who's home resort was either BCV or BWV swapping with me and my VWL.
Hi,I am a BCV and VWL owner.I am trying to accomplish what you are.I am looking for someone to switch ressies with.I have 140 but need 180.Each studio would be 60 points.I need it for Dec 3-8 at VWL.Would you be willing to make a ressie for VWL and me make one for BCV for Dec for you?I just need one studio for 60 points.iankh said:What prompted my wondering about all of this was for our next trip, which isn't until December '06 we'd like to stay at either BCV or BWV. Not a bad fall back plan, LOL. Glad to help though I bet everyone else reading this thread was screaming the same thing.iankh said:Dean - always such sound advice. Since my attempts at doing a reservation swap has not panned out, I'm going to do exactly what you say. I'm booking VWL and then at 7 months might try to change. I mean, VWL at the holidays is hardly what I would call a hardship. We simply wanted to do something different, and as always thought of walking into the the lobby of WL, the dramatic space (not to mention the spectacular holiday decorations) and the music does bring a smile to my face.
