In doing some research for our cruise my best friend came across some good rates at these companies and we were wondering what your experience with them has been if you have booked through them in the past.

Thanks in advance! :)

Do you mean for a cruise? NO. For other stuff (Car, Hotel, Air)....All the time.
Never had a problem yet. Matter of fact last year we booked a 2 week jaunt through Germany, Austria and Switz. all through the web and it turned out perfectly! Air,Car, Hotels, even Pensions and admission tickets to attractions.. We did it all ourselves with the help of Orbitz, Hotwire and Expedia. It was a breeze.

i've used travelocity, expedia, and orbitz for several trips.. all great!!! we booked our dcl cruise thru travelocity. the website was very easy to operate, very good info. on ship and pictues and reviews. the customer service dept. was wonderful for changes made to ressie, the price was great. overall, i would use them again. we also used travelocity for a carnival cruise sept 2002 and with their online specials, my friend and i saved $300 p/person plus free upgrades. i dont think youll get an upgrade if you book with them unless you go "guarantee" on your ressie instead of selecting a cabin. either way, no one knows whos the lucky one to get an upgrade.the docs were mailed as promised and ontime.
we leave for our first disney cruise in(see timer:) )and ive got to get back to packing. go with travelocity.......hope this helps and let us know what you decide!

I've used Travelocity & Expedia many times for business flights & hotels. They are both great to work with. I love how you can view available staterooms on the Travelocity site. My sister has booked cruises with Travelocity & Cruise.com with very good savings & service.

She was telling me about Milepoint cruises. She just booked at terrific savings. The quote she got from them was less than anyone else around. They are affiliated with Delta & Amex, so they must be legit.

Has anyone else had any experience with Milepoint cruises, booked by "Our Vacation Center"? I'd be interested in hearing about them as well.

IMO I would stay away from these services to book a cruise....Instead, I would recommend www.allseastravel.com
a true brick and mortar TA that specializes in DCL cruises....you not only get better pricing than Orbitz, Travelocity et al, but significantly better one on one personalized service, as well accountability....

I used Expedia and thought I got a good rate.

However they made a billing error and took months to correct it and refund my card.

Then to top it off, they got the Cruise docs from Disney about a month ago, and I still do not have them! Right now we are 11 days from our flight out, and they keep saying that they will send it next day air. The only question they seem not to answer is... WHAT DAY IS THAT???????

Thanks everyone for your replies!

dianthus, I'm glad to hear that she had a good experience with cruise.com, that's the best deal we've come across yet. We're still looking around but it's nice to know that someone has used them and had good luck. :)

Alexandrew, I will check out that site, thank you for the link.

Billinaz, I think we have pretty much vetoed Expedia, it seems they like to add all kinds of fees and junk, we want cheaper so little fees for this and that really add up to no savings!

If anyone else has any experience or wants to offer additional places we should check out let me know! :)

Michelle,
When I was looking at booking our cruise I was going to go with Cruise.com as they had the best price. Than someone here recommended www.micdan.com and talk with Dana. She was able to beat my lowest price. I have never been able to find any one else to beat her quotes. Give her a call. I used her again when we rebooked on board. When I got home, I tried all places again to see if my price could be beat, and again only she was able to do it.

I agree, for airfare, hotel and rental car, it is a great way to go with some wonderful rates. For a cruise, especially if you have not cruised before, then i would not recommend it. You can't get a real person to talk to when you have questions, or when an issue would arise.

Thank you everyone for your replies, I'm waiting for two quotes and I think we will either be using allseastravel.com or micdan.com, both are real travel agencies with real people and allseastravel.com was right on par with the cruise.com price.

Thanks again for all your help! :)

This is sooo frustrating!I am new to all of this, I had no idea honeymoons could be so difficult to plan. My mom always took care of the vacations, but I want to do this, and don't want to mess up.

Has anyone ever used Magical Journeys? They have a sale starting on Saturday that looks really good. I want to wait to see if they can beat the prices I have gotten, but was hoping someone knew about them.

Amanda, Fisrt thing this morning I received a call from Dana at micdan.com and she was super nice! She gave me a great quote and she remembered you too!

I'm waiting to hear from one more company before I make my final decision but I was very impressed with their quick and professional service already. Thanks so much! :)

One great thing about her, no matter how infrequently we talk, she always has that great smile in her voice, and she always "seems" to remember me! LOL I hope that you are definitely in for our cruise?
