Has anyone else noticed small holes appearing in the Hollister brand clothing?

(Thought I'd get more responses on this board so posting this here)

I found it interesting on how I had recently spent about $200 or so on just a few shirts and they are already getting holes in them. I put one in the washer and its pretty much non wearable now. I hadn't bought this brand in the past and have never had the problem with AE. Is abercrombie the same way since hollister is the sister company? I'm not buying it too small or to large in terms of sizing so its not from the fabric being pulled around. What a waste of money!

Yeah that happens to me sometimes too!!
I dunno what it is.

I get tiny little holes in alot of my shirts from Hollister, even my boyfriends polos get holes in them and they are made from a rather thick material.
I understand the tank tops made of really thin material getting holes, but not the polos! It's so strange. Mine aren't to the point where they are unwearable, mostly they aren't even noticable, but it is pretty irritating.

As for Abercrombie, I've had a few things from their get holes in them as well...:confused3

I've gotton 1 shirt with a hole in it, unfortunatly it was in the front so I had to throw it out but ya I've noticed it happen to many people.

That's really weird.
I've never bought anything from either store (I don't live anywhere near a Hollister, and I don't have the patience to go through the A&F in Bangor, because I can only afford the sale stuff and it's too messy back there).

I buy mostly AE, and I only have one shirt with a hole in it, and it's over a year old.

I have some shirts that have holes in them, but not to the point of where I can't wear them anymore. I try my best to keep them safe in the wash :D

I don't like Hollister but when I get shirts at A&F (I think they own Hollister?) they come out of the wash discolored.

people tell me this happens all the time to them but the shirts that i just bought all the stitching is coming out of.

I've gotten some holes in some of my american eagle shirts....

I never had that problem with their clothes. I only have problems when I wear my studded belt and it can cause holes in bottom of shirts

Yeah, they do seem to wear out quickly. Mostly my tank tops get holes in them, usually around the bottom. Everything else I have hasn't ripped or anything.
Do you pull down on them a lot, because that'll usually cause it to tear a little from stress. That happens to my tanks a lot because I layer them under a tshirt, so I keep pulling it down so it'll show at the bottom of the shirt. It's my own fault, but for tanks that are over $20, you would think they would hold up well.

Not a big Hollister fan but the few items I have gotten as gifts or whatever wore out really quick.
I got a track jacket type thing for Chrstmas like two years ago and the second time I wore it the stiching ripped out from under the arms.
Brands like Hollister and AE and A&F are soooooo overrated.

Uh, some of the shirts my parents got me from abercrombie did get holes like in the bottom of the shirt. Some of them are made out of really cheap stuff. They're sometimes not worth the money you pay for them. I don't have any complaints for my Hollister clothes even though they are a bit itchy, not soft...

I usually go to Hot Topic but I still like abercrombie, Hollister, AE, Aeropostale, and so on, I just barely shop there.

I just bought 5 long sleeve shirts for ae just one month ago and 4 have the seams coming apart! This has never happened to my ae clothing. It usually lasts years without any problems. I guess quality is going downhill...

it happens on shirts that have a lighter material....Armani, Diesel and Express shirts fall victim to this fate all to often...at least in my case...never noticed Hollister to make there shirts out of a fabric that was delicate enough to get holes in them but i dont really own a whole lot of hollister so they could have changed their material...but i do know that if they're a lighter material and you put them in the wash with anything that has zippers or metal rough edges it is very easy to get holes in them, happens to me all the time...if it is a shirt that you got a small hole in, my recommendation is to get iron on patches and pull the hole as closed as possible then iron on the patch...ive saved a lot of nice shirts by doing this and no one knows the patch is there but me!...oh yea the patch u iron on goes on the inside of the shirt, i would imagine that is pretty obvious but i dont want anyone ironing patches all over there shirts lol
