I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place, but I had the strangest experience while booking my trip. I called up Disney reservations and wanted to get a quote for my next trip. The guy who was helping me was very unfriendly (undisney). I finally said that it sounds like I got him on a bad day and he said that he was just playing the role of one of the Disney characters. I said excuse me. He said he was acting like Grumpy one of the seven dwarfs. I kind of laughed. He said don't laugh, I'm serious. Then he started laughing like Goofy and said he can't complete my reservation right now because he's a little Goofy. Again, I kind of laughed, then he said what are you laughing at skippy. I said excuse me, but this is starting to get really strange and I would like to get my quote. Then he strated talking in a weird voice and said he can't do nothing right now because he is Stitch and he will not cooperate with my wishes and then hung up the phone. I called back and talked to a supervisor and said that the person who did that to me just sufferd a nervous breakdown and she apologized. She told me that they just escorted him out of the building and he was talking like Mickey Mouse at that point.

Really Weird.

Interesting :scratchin

Can't say I have ever had that experience, but thanks for sharing it :)

Wow. Sorry to hear about the CM. All kinds of things can happen when you call CRO.

Yeah, I had that happen to me once - except I was calling Sea World, and the guy on the phone talked like Shamu!

Well I had a weird experience when I called for PS and reservations for our trip in Feb. I'm all for anyone being able to take my calls, but when the person on the other phone is speaking a language other that what we term "normal english" and speaking about as loud as a peep...I have problems with that. I asked the woman multiple times to speak up. And I still could not understand her. I ended up hanging up and calling back in which I did my PSs in less than a minute.

That is bizarre.

I did have the CM when I called for quotes for 12/05 say to me (as he was looking at my name in the computer system) You sure do come to Disney a lot.

I told him we like it & it's kid friendly.

He replied: Well, what ever floats your boat.

I found that to be rude.

My first thought was that the guy was being a jerk and when you called him on it, he had to cover.

As far as the girl telling you he had a nervous breakdown, I could not imagine that she would really be instructed to tell you that. If something like that happened where I work and somebody had to be escorted from the building, we would have our behinds in a heap if trouble if we told that to a customer.

I disagree. The caller certainly deserved an explanation and it sounds as if the supervisor realized that.

I'm sorry that happened. It is definitely creepy.

I think I would have hung up and called back. Thank goodness there's always a different CM each time! (Well, sometimes that's a good thing!)

lol. Weird. Yeah sounds like time in the hospital would do him good.

Just because someone works for Disney doesn't mean anything. They can be psycho and weird too.

Kind of unprofessional. And these are the people we hand over our addresses and credit card info to??? Scary.

Now that I think of it, I once got the most abnormally chatty CM. Wanted to chat about EVERYTHING-the weather, the WDW gator sightings, current events-and my cellphone peak minutes were TICKING. Just BOOK my reservation, woman! :earseek:
