especialyy 6 1/2 to 7 months pregnant? any advice, did you need a wheelchair to get around, i know the pace is going to be slower but is it doable? thanks in advance!!

It's definately doable, as long as you go at a slower pace. I went when I was pregnant a few years ago. My Dh and I just did Disney at a leisurely pace, avoided the roller coasters and other thrill rides and took lots of breaks.

If you are staying on-site, tell them at the front desk you are pregnant when you check in and ask for a quiet room close to the lobby. We stayed at the YC and they gave us a free upgrade to concierge.

Also, if you get really wiped out in the parks, go to the baby centers. They are supposedly very nice, I haven't been there though.

Hi Disneydeb!

First off, congrats on your pregnancy!!

I did Disney at 5 months pregnant 4 1/2 years ago and I was fine! Obviously, you have to stay away from the "thrill" rides such as Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and such but there is so much more to do in Disney that I really didn't feel slighted by missing out on these things. FYI....I did do the safari in AK. It says not for pregnant women but I asked around on these boards for people who had done it before and I gave it a shot. Although it can get a little bouncy, nothing too harsh that couldn't be handled!

Make sure to take it slow, keep hydrated and enjoy!!! Keep thinking about the future time you'll be there with your new precious bundle!!!

I went to WDW several years ago when I was 7 months pregnant with DD. I left the parks every afternoon, and DS (then aged 2) and I took a nap for a few hours. Other than that, I drank lots of water, put my feet up from time to time, and avoided the thrill rides.

Did WDW 2x at about 6 1/2 months. I wanted to get away before I hit the 7th month, when my doctor did not want me going to far from home.

I had a blast both times. Of course there were rides I skipped, but there were some sit down shows that I hadn't taken time out for in ages and really enjoyed.

The best thing about the 2nd trimester is that you feel really good. And what better excuse to indulge in all of those great Disney desserts!

The first time I went in December, which was wonderful, since there are so many things to see other than the rides. The second time was in Sept. That was a little humid and I was there over 9/11, so driving home from WDW to NY was a little intense, at least my daughter needed as many potty breaks as I did!:)

I can't agree with other posts enough to sit and relax and watch the poeple. Drink plenty of water and have fun!!!

One neat thing that I have done with both pregnancies is that I took a picture of Mickey and me and my big belly (covered!) and then put that picture in the little bassinet at the hosptial. All of my family could instatnly tell which one was my baby, and with her first picture of Mickey!

Good luck and congratulations!!!
