Has anyone done the whale viewing rides at any of the beaches?

We used Newport Landing whale tours on Father's Day, website HERE

It was a great experience! We saw tons of dolphins and had a humpback whale stick with our boat for quite awhile. It was truly amazing. The captain was very informative, and they also have a professional photographer and a drone to capture photos and video (you can also take your own). We ended up buying the digital photos because we thought they were priced reasonably, and the ones from the drone were obviously at an angle we couldn't get.

Keep in mind, there's no guarantee you'll see anything, but we had an extraordinary experience, and will do it again if/when we're back in SoCal. I found a deal on Groupon for inexpensive tickets, so keep that in mind too :-)

I've been using Newport Landing and Davey's Locker in Newport Beach since I was a teen in the early 1970's. They do a great job.
