I am interesting in finding out about transportation. Can anyone give me any information on this?
I am disappointed that most of the excursions such as this with dolphin/sea lion diving are for children OVER 8. Maybe someone has some other options...HELP

The transportation part is easy. I did the Cozumel Dolphin swim two months ago (booked through shoretrips.com) it is the same swim as you are looking at. When you get off of the ship just walk down to the end of the pier towards the shops. There are a zillion taxis waiting to take you wherever you want to go. Ask ahead of time how much to Chakanaab. We were $10.00 for 4 people. When we later left the park there were a bunch of taxis waiting out in front. Again, just $10.00 to get back. All we had to say was the word "Disney" and we were on our way. I wouldn't worry about transportation. The swim is MUCH better than the encounter. Go to the park right away - there is so much to do and we ran out of time on our day to see it all. Have fun!!

I just read that your children are younger - they have to be pretty good swimmers to do the actual swim. You may not want to pay for an excursion if your kids are on the younger side, you may want to just to to the park and see the birds and sea lions and swim. There is a shallow sandy area for children to swim in. If your kids are good swimmers you may want to check the age requirements at shoretrips.com. My youngest was 10 and he had a blast!

Well, I unfortunately would love to do the SWIM but cannot, as my DD is only 6. :(
Maybe by next time that will be an option.
What else is there to do in that park? I know there is sea lions but again minimum age is 8...but are there shows?
I am trying to plan so I don't get there and hear "sorry we are all booked" although I"m sure there is plenty else to do, we have preferences ya know?
Well, I will not worry about transportation I suppose I will find my way. Although I wonder how much time in advance we will need to be there and how long it takes?
I am so not good at this planning stuff.

Chananaab Park is a 10.00 taxi ride, 16.00 taxi minivan, and 10.00 per person to enter the park. Besides watching the dolphins and sea lions, they have a great beach. You can snorkle and swim or just sit in the area that great for little kids, no waves and lots of beach to build sandcastles. There is a beachside restaurants, tables with umbrellas, good service and a wandering mariachi band. A beachside bar, hair braiding station, and so on. You could easily spend the whole day there, relax and then spend the evening at one of the wild bars just a few feet from the dock....Mark

Does anyone know if you book through shoretrips and the ship cant make it to the port do they refund your money? Also is it over 8 or are 8 year old included? Thanks.
