Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

My husband decided his band looked too plain so he asked me to do something. This is what I came up with. The lightsabers will glow in the dark and I put glow in the dark paint on the braid of mine.

So I've read almost every page in this thread and I'm overwhelmed with the amount of talent here!!!! I would love to draw/paint on our January bands, but our September ones are just getting some nail polish and tattoos!

Quick question...
To do glitter nail polish & tattoos -
1) 1 coat of clear base
2) Few coats of glitter nail polish
3) Tattoos
4) Few coats of base???

Just checking! Thanks!

After MONTHS and MONTHS of watching this thread I FINALLY got my own bands and painted them! SO excited to finally be sharing my bands here!!

So thanks for all the inspiration and tips to everyone before me who experimented!

I painted these directly on the bands with acrylic paints, I plan to use 2 coats of spray on acrylic sealer tomorrow once they dry completely. I had a friend use the exact same method and her bands held up through her trip, including water parks, just fine!

Excellent job. I love the orange bird....so cute! I have earrings from when I was a kid.

It was a little extra surprise after I had opened the plain brown outer box and figured out they were our bands I opened the band box and out popped 2 DVC sliders.:cool1:

Nothing fell out of my box LOL last year I did get a 2013 slider when I checked into SSR.

Cree 629, how did you do the frozen one? Did you paint the band white? I love your polka dot Mickey one! They are all great!

Thank you! I used a base coat and white pearly nail polish on the frozen band first (three coats), and then the tattoos right over that. Then three coats of base coat on top. It was actually the easiest of all my bands and I absolutely love it!

Cree629......how did you paint your edges? The space between the white and gray on your Frozen band looks so clean!

I used the tip I read way back somewhere in this thread... I fastened the bands around an empty water bottle and then used Scotch tape to cover the gray edges and attach the bands to the bottles. Super easy to hold/paint them that way, and then once they were dry I peeled off the Scotch tape and the edges stayed nice and clean!

It looks great! Did you use nail polish or paint?
