Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

Has anyone tried hotfix jewels? I know they wouldn't move but I'm are you wouldn't be able to redo the band later.

I used Vinyl with adhesive backing. On the red band I used a 1/8" circle punch and on the pink I used a 3/16" circle punch. It sticks really well, so no extra glue or anything needed and then I just sprayed over the whole thing with 2 layers of Acrylic Spray Sealer in Gloss finish.

What a great idea! I wonder if it would world with any shaped punch? I have a Mickey head one!

Oh ok. 1 last question. How did you cut it so perfect? Especially are part around the Mickey?

The zebra is duck tape and I pressed down really hard on the Mickey Head I give an "outline" and then I use an xacto knife to cut it out.

Just a quick question that I'm sure has been answered numerous times and I just keep missing the answer. For those of you who have used the gemstones on the MBs, what type of glue/epoxy did you use for them to stay on? I'm getting my MBs next week and starting to plan everything out. TIA!

Someone just answered this 2 pages back.

I just used nail polish to glue on some nail gems that came with one of my nail art pens, and it was coated with base coat. They have stayed on so far. I am an AP though, so I am not wearing mine 24/7 at water parks and pools, just for day park visits now and then.

Hi! My nieces LOVE Doc McStuffins (no interest in traditional princesses whatsoever, except for Anna and Elsa and maybe Merida)...did you use temporary tattoos? White nail polish? Where did you find the tattoos? Thanks....

This is a GREAT threat and I stand in awe of all the skill and creativity here. (I tried quoting the post to which I'm replying - but I don't have enough posts.....sorry!)

From I<3Dopey:
"ok so here are my magic bands. For dopey I had to print my own tattoo. i had to buy special paper to do this but am very happy with the results. Dopey is my favorite character so of course he is who I wanted on my magic band here are the 7 of the 10 i still have some to do. I find the girls bands easier to decorate as we can use more items to our advantage."

Hi - can you share a little about what special tattoo paper you purchased and how your created Dopey? Do you print on tattoo paper using a laser jet, just like regular paper?

Your bands look awesome! (so many amazingly talented folks here!) Thanks!

On my first band I used the rhinestone stickers I got at Michaels. I just stuck them on and the used base coat around the edges. I did loose a few but I think it was from having to get the band up to the scanner. Other than that it held up great.

I used that band for our June trip. I just got the band back out to replace the few missing stones. I was surprised to see how cloudy the rhinestones were. They definitely got worse over time. I think it is a combination of using the cheap stickers and the base coat nail polish.

For the band I am working on now I got the actual Swarvorski crystals. I might try a test stone on another band first to see if the base coat clouds them.

Anyone that used duck tape, I am assuming no issues with he scanners going through it? I am planning on doing duck tape on all 7 of ours, and DH is nervous that the scanner won't go through the duck tape.

I haven't purchased any of the paper, but I looked into it after seeing all of the tattoo magic bands in this thread.

I found inkjet printable temporary tattoo paper online. I think I <3 dopey (or maybe it was someone else) said that she got hers on Amazon.
