Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

It's for sizing as the bands are one size. The outer gray edge peels off (and cannot be put back on!) to make it smaller, for kids or people with smaller wrists.

The band I'm playing with is pretty attached to the outer part. Do I just have to keep working it to get it to detach? (of 7 bands, at least 4 and probably 5 will need to be separated).

Thanks!

Thanks! I just asked him to paint me a Sally to match!

Perfect!

I keep talking about doing a Nightmare band with Jack, and asked my husband if I could paint Lock, Shock and Barrel on his. He just stared at me, said "You are so weird." and went back to what he was doing. I took that as a "no." lol

Okay so I'm really finished now! I need to step awayyyy from the crystals.

Swarovski crystal bands.

Pink has 86 stones and gold has 173 stones. My back is sore now haha!

Very pretty, let us know how these hold up in the parks! I used crystals for my band in July with E6000 and my crystals started popping off after wearing my band in the pool for a whole day. Maybe your nail polish method will hold up better and I'll try that next time.

My tips to prevent cracking are:

1) Decorate the bands in the position they will be worn - ie, don't have them stretched out flat.

2) Be gentle when putting them on - again, don't flatten them out rather slip them on in a semi closed position.

Once I started doing that we only got a few cracks right in the area of the band that has the holes and that you pretty much have to bend a little in order to fasten them.

Thanks for the tips!! Can't wait to decorate mine :-)

I would take that as a "Yes" (I didn't hear him say "no")....more Nightmare!!!

I tried a few with the Duck Tape and they worked great (only tested at home). The Frozen tape is super cute. I was planning on doing tattoos on my daughter's, but maybe I will go this route instead!

Any tips on preventing cracking in bands with temporary tattoos? I'm about to out mine on soon and will probably use an acrylic sealer (instead of base coat nail polish). Thanks!

What kind of acrylic sealer? I used Krylon Clear Satin finish sealer and my MB cracked horribly. Also my rhinestones dulled and I had to take them off and put new ones on. And my son's band, which I kept most green except for the Minecraft creeper part near the Mickey head, picked up all sorts of dirt stains that we couldn't wipe off.
Lesson learned, next time I will just use clear basecoat.

Also, I didn't know that the bands should be closed, mine was open so that may have a lot to do with it too, but I still don't like the way the sealer looked after dry.

I was going to use Aleenes Acrylic Sealer Matte finish, mostly because I already had it at home from another craft project.

Maybe I'll do it with enough time to test it out. If it cracks I can redo it with base coat.

I have two bands from a previous Disney Cruise that I have been using to test some ideas with. I won't receive my actual bands for a few months, but I have been having fun playing around with ideas!

HOW did you get such perfect dots?

I used Vinyl with adhesive backing. On the red band I used a 1/8" circle punch and on the pink I used a 3/16" circle punch. It sticks really well, so no extra glue or anything needed and then I just sprayed over the whole thing with 2 layers of Acrylic Spray Sealer in Gloss finish.

Do did you paint the heads? If so what with?

The bands themselves are painted with nail polish. The Mickey Head designed like Mickey is acrylic. The other Mickey head is actually the yellow band showing as I painted it red with nail polish.

Oh ok. 1 last question. How did you cut it so perfect? Especially are part around the Mickey?
