Has anyone bought the AP pass at Costco with the $50 gift card?

I think what they were saying is that they used the $50 gift card to upgrade to a premium at the park since you can only purchase a deluxe at costco.

Nope, you can get in with your Deluxe on a blackout day and you do not have to upgrade or buy a blackout pass. You just activate them on the blackout day, if they have been previously activated then you will have to buy a blackout pass and then you can enter both parks or you can upgrade using the $40 towards your upgrade.

Gosh I would love to get our AP's this way. Where is the closest Costco to Disneyland? I'd hate to spend our first day though looking for a COSTCO but what a great deal

I did that....looks like there is one less than 2 miles away. We're thinking about DBF taking a cab to Costco to pick them up while DS and I check in at the hotel. I'd just be afraid they don't have any in stock. But for $150 in gift cards that would be worth it I think. THat would pay for a lot of meals that week.

All those costcos have phone numbers. Call them and verify that they have the item in stock (item# is 295609) before you go! And know what your plan B is I would imagine you'll start seeing threads pop up here when the costcos start running out.
