Has anyone been turned away wearing "dress shorts" for Palo's Brunch

We will be on a December cruise on the Dream. Since the Palo brunch dress code has been changed to include dress shorts has anyone been turned away for wearing shorts? I do not want this to be about agreeing or disagreeing with the dress code just if you wore shorts did you have an issue with wearing the shorts to the type of shoes that you wore with the shorts. Thanks!

We just sailed on the Wish in June 2024 and I wore dress shorts to Palo for brunch. I didn't encounter any issue.

My husband wore chino-style beige shorts to brunch, paired with brown sandals (the kind of sandal that is kind of closed toe because a leather strap goes over the toes).
