Has anyone been to Ybor City ?

I've driven past it a stack of times on the way to and from Tampa but never been there.

I'm thinking of taking it in while I'm over there in December and just wondered if anyone had been there already .. and what you thought.

Having been there for an evening recently, I can vouch for the fact there are some great restaurants there, plus the huge Gameworks arcade, which is a lot of fun. I highly recoomend the Big City Tavern, while the Green Iguana is also fun.

Is it worth staying overnight ?

We did a quick tour around the Ybor City Brewery which was quite interesting. Got to taste a couple of interesting brews too!

Ybor City is primarily an evening attraction, so I would say staying overnight nearby is definitely favourite.

Like you I've only ever driven past it, but isn't it where Gareth Gates filmed his 'Unchained Melody' video? Must be good.
