We wanted to do this for the first time on our trip in 8 days!! ;)

I haven't seen Maleficient yet because we were hoping that's what we would watch while we are there. Our last trip, we actually almost watched a movie on a whim.... but they were sold out. Is there a way I can buy tickets ahead of time? I don't want to plan on it and then not be able to go!

Anyone have an experience with this?

Thank you all!

Maleficent's been out for awhile, I doubt you will find it sold out.

But you can purchase ahead of time through Fandango I think.

We were there for a few days around Thanksgiving last year, and that was when Frozen got released. I got on the theater's website and bought my tickets ahead of time for the "dine-in" side of the theater (which is a separate entrance from the regular side - do not assume that all movie tickets here include the full dining menu option...if that's what you're wanting, make sure you click the proper ticket choices). Don't have the website handy, but just Google "amc downtown Disney" and it'll come right up.

Here is a direct link to that theater. Yes you can buy in advance for any showing...but I highly recommend it for the Dine-In which Maleficent is playing in so that you have a better choice of seats and a better chance of fitting in your entire party if it's larger. Dine-in is more expensive but is worth it for the experience in my opinion. Just in case I attached a DFB review of the Dine-In

It's a nice theater, but eat before you get there or stick with the popcorn and candy.

We saw Iron Man 3 there on opening day!! I don't remember if we got our tix ahead of time ... I want to say we didn't. And we ate at Splitsville before the movie...

Thanks again!

I tried Fandango, and for some reason couldn't get access (although I know 8 days is usually too far out to buy advance tickets). I'll wait a day or two and keep checking.

I hope we find something :), but then again I don't care I'll be in Disney in 8 days! :goodvibes

their theatres are huge, was able to get tickets to frozen and there at start of show, albiet it was after frozen had been out a bit.
