We're thinking of taking a mini-vacation for a few nights next year to Mall of America. Since we have vacation days we have to take over the 4th of July, we thought that may be a good time. Is it really crowded around there? We don't really care much about 4th of July activities, parades, fireworks, etc, just want to spend some time at the mall. Thanks!

I doubt that the MOA would be too crowded on the 4th of July. Up here, most folks will just be in the mood to celebrate the fact that it's finally warm enough to do stuff outside! :earboy2: Minneapolis, St. Paul, and most of the suburbs do fireworks for the 4th (St. Paul does fireworks each night from June 30th through July 4th as part of the Taste of Minnesota festival), and Valleyfair, our regional theme park, is in the height of its season by then, so the locals will be occupied and the mall should be relatively empty. Right now is the time of year the MOA is at its craziest; folks are packing the place now!!
