after getting great advice on where to eat near Belz, I am now considering LBV mall instead since it is so much closer to WDW (and it may be just me and oldest dd... I don't want to be driving for long). I don't need 100 stores plus... we will only have about 4 or 5 hours max. Looking for good deals on kids clothes, casual clothes and souvenirs like t-shirts.

is it 6 of one and 1/2 a dozen of the other?

thanks:D

Of the three outlet malls in the area I would rank them:

1--Orlando Premium
2--Lake Buena Vista
3--Belz (I hate the drive to Belz and all the I Drive congestion)

The Orlando Premium mall is easy to get to and they have all the big names we like (Tommy, Nike, Disney Character Corner, Universal, Carters, Giorgio Armani, DKNY, Barneys New York Outlet, Brooks Brothers Factory Store, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store, Banana Republic Factory Store, Coach, Escada, Max Mara, Dooney & Bourke, Nautica, Mikasa).

That being said--LBV is only about 5 - 10 minutes more down the road.

For information on the outlet malls and to print a coupon for a coupon book at the mall go to www.outletbound.com

I second Belle's answer!

We won't ever make that drive to Belz again. Too much traffic and too far.

We've found everything we're looking for and in a much shorter amount of time and less aggravation than driving to Belz.

Was not all that impressed with prices at Premium or Belz. Premium is very nice though. If Canadian and from Ontario, the Niagara Falls US and Canadian Outlets have better prices.

We went to LBV mall but only to the Big and Tall store (Mad dogs???) and the Disney outlet store. The prices were not bad and there were lots of stuff for kids but we don't have kids. Found a few magnets for our collection.

We went twice because it wasn't far from our hotel.(Magic Castle)

Hope this helps.:)

There is a Disney type outlet at the LBV outlet but its not as nice of stuff as the other outlets..but you can still find some good deals...

As far as kids clothes I think you mentioned, the LBV outlet does have a Carters and an Oshkosh outlet and a VF which has Healthtex

We love the Premier Outlets and will never go to Belz again. Never heard of the LBV outlets. I loved the Disney store @Premier. That's the only store I'm interested in. We have huge outlet malls 25 min. from my home, so I don't do too much shopping on vacation except for Disney stuff/souveniers. Got great shirts, Christmas ornaments, pins, etc... @Premier.

Last January we rented a car for a few days primarily so I could check out the outlet stores.
For us Belz was a waste of time and most likely I would not return unless I happened to be in the area again. Even in January the highway traffic was very bad and made the trip to Belz more frustrating than worth it. And the prices we saw on items we were interested were the very same as in the parks.
The LBV outlet did have bargains! :bounce: It's as no frills as you can get. But the prices are good!
For the upcoming trip in now less than two weeks :bounce: DH and I have booked our airport transportation through YourRide. We are using our half hour stop at the Disney outlet at LBV! :D :bounce:
