Has Anyone Been To Costa Rica?

I have a chance to do a field study in the rain forest there in May. I do not know to much of the details as of yet. Just thought I would ask if anyone has been.

We've been there and so have my inlaws. My inlaws stayed a lot longer than we did! It was beautiful there and the people were so great. We went on cruises that stopped there for a day or so but we've been a couple of times. My inlaws rented a beachfront villa for 3 weeks and they want to move back there eventually. Don't know if that helps but it is absolutely beautiful there. Sounds like a fun opportunity! I'd jump on it in a heartbeat but then I love Caribbean islands and people and culture

Absolutely breathtaking, inland and on the coast. I've been there once and it was a trip that I still can remember every waking moment about.

My husband went on a surf trip there. He said it was beautiful!!

Costa Rica is the most stable nation in Central America. I've never been there but have friends who have and they all thought it was great.

One of the highest literacy rates in the world; no army (money is put into education instead); very friendly people who value the eco-turism business. I was in San José for 2 weeks, then a week traveling - great country! I'd return again. As they say in Costa Rica, pura vida. I would definitely jump on your opportunity to do research there.
