We are looking for a Boardwalk dinner place for 9 people for our May trip...we have walked past this place 100 times over the years.....want to try something different this time -- this is the only place at Boardwalk, YC or BC where we have not eaten.

Wondering how it has been recently?
What do you recommend?
With no advance dining / ressies available -- what should we expect wait time wise the last week of May?
Gluten free options that anyone has tried (5 of our 9 are G-free).

Thanks all.

was there in spring of 2017....it was a decent hamburger. nothing stood out as great....but nothing stood out as bad. we sat outside at 2:00 pm on a weekday and had a nice quiet lunch on the boardwalk.

Thanks for your input....just looking for a place to eat with good atmosphere -- and unless it's 90 degrees at the end of May....was thinking this could be a good place to try -- maybe not the best food -- but does have a pretty wide ranging menu.

We tried to get a rezzie. Too many hoops to jump through since it wasn't available to book on a Disney's site.

We ate there about a year ago. We liked it. We walked in, no reservation and were seated within 5 minutes at lunch time. DH was happy to have a flight of beer with lunch. We would eat there again.

We found the food to be meh. Not bad but nothing special. Beer is good though. All of the times we've gone, we've never had a reservation - we just walked up. At least once in May and a couple of times in December.

We go often as the bar has TVs and DH can watch sports and get good beer. The food isn't bad. Step up from the likes of ESPN and the Rainforest Cafe. But along those lines. It's easy to get in so we love it for being able to pop in. A really good one on the BW is Trattoria al Forno, if you can get an ADR. Disney Springs places, and a few others not at DS, are on Open Table. You could try making a reise that way. We like House of Blues at DS. Can see if any BW restaurants are on Open Table. Another thing, you can join touring plans and put in an ADR finder request. I did that for our March trip and found 3 resies that way, last minute. You select a place and table size and timeframe you want and it will constantly search the disney dining ADR system. Well worth the fee to join.

My son and I had a late lunch there last year about April (can't remember the exact month but it was his college spring break and F&G was happening). We just walked up, it wasn't busy at all, maybe 1 table outside being used and 3 inside. It was a lot of food, my son loved the beer flight and we both walked away pleased. Not great food but good and good service and plenty of food.

I don't care for their food or their beer. We used to go once a visit until I finally told DH enough! I would much rather go to splitsville in Downtown Disney or even ESPN if we had to stay at Boardwalk area.

We ate there 2 years ago and the food and beer was good. Nothing special, but I've had far worse food at many other restaurants. The burgers and salmon were good. Loved the outside seating in the fall.

We've found the food to be good, not great. We continue to go back, as we stay at BWV. They honor TIW discount, so that's a plus for us. I like the beer selections; selection is typical of mass market brewpubs (if that makes any sense). DW is gluten free and had always had properly prepared meals that took account of her gluten intolerance. We sometimes get the chicken caesar salad (without croutons) to go without difficulty, finding it enough to make a light meal for the two of us. Eating in restaurant, the American style Kobe burger is quite tasty and can be made GF. I like the meatloaf, but that's not GF.
