I saw this ship on the Travel Channel and it looked like a geat cruise ship.

Hi.. When was this on the TC?

I am going on Adventure of the Seas in October for my wedding/honeymoon. I too would like any first hand idea of the ship.

The only cruise ship I have been on is Holland America's Zuiderdam within 6 months of it's first sail so I am probally a bit spoiled with a brand new ship!

i was on the Adventure 2 years ago, and we're sailing on the Adventure again this July. It is an amazing ship- the show on the Travel channel was great, but didn't do the ship justice-it is really a beautiful ship, and believe it or not, even with 3300 passengers on board you never feel crowded. If you decide to sail, I would suggest the Aruba, Curacao, St. Martin , st. Thomas itinerary, and strongly recommend flying down a day early, and if possible staying an extra day post -cruise in San Juan. Any other questions feel free to ask- Puerto Rico is one of my favorite places to sail from, and the AOS is one of my favorite ships:D

We're also considering the AOS this summer... I'll have to watch for the Travel Channel show.

And DMickey28- we also sailed on the Zuiderdam last June, at her 6 month mark! She was a beautiful ship, and we got a GREAT deal. So great we were able to feel good about springing for a suite.:)

Sure would like to stumble on a deal like that again this summer!

Tell us about the Zuiderdam as well. I was interested in this ship as well. Did anyone have a balcony? Any upgrades from lower levels into balcony cabins to be had?

Well, since you asked...princess: :teeth:

Here are photos from our Zuiderdam cruise.

We had a suite (Category S), with a balcony. There are photos of our room and the balcony, as well as a few photos from other areas of the ship.

We really enjoyed the Zuiderdam. DH would like to cruise on her again, and he's surfing the net for deals right now. :smooth: The dining was wonderful, the entertainment quite good, and I think their private island is second only to Castaway Cay.
